This article shows you how to connect your Archilogic floor plan to a building object
Archilogic buildings act as parent objects to Archilogic floor plans. This is useful to organize your data and to export the IMDF data of several floors in one IMDF file for Microsoft Places.
To connect a floor plan to a building object, you have to open the floor plan in the Archilogic Editor.
Once you've opened the floor plan in the Editor, open the Main menu and select Floor > Properties.
This will open the Floor properties menu.
In the Floor properties menu, open the Building drop-down.
Select an existing building from the list or create a new one. If you haven't created any buildings in the past, your only option is to create a new building.
If you created a new building, you have to define the Name and Address of the building.
Click the blue Create Building button once you're done.
You can now see that your floor is connected to the building you selected or created.
Please note that the floor is now using the address of the building instead of the address stored within the floor.
Click the blue Update button to complete the process and save the building connection.
