# Show or hide the inspector panel

## This article shows you how to show or hide the inspector panel in the editor

The **inspector** is where you can view a spatial summary of the floor plan or view and configure the properties of a selected space, structural element, or asset. By default, the inspector panel is visible in the editor. You can hide the panel to expand the canvas area. 

To hide or show the **Inspector panel** you have to:

- **Right-click** the canvas to bring up the **context menu**, then activate or deactivate the **Show inspector panel** feature.

- Alternatively, you can open the** Main menu** in the upper left corner of the window and select **View**, then check or uncheck **Show inspector panel**.

Keyboard shortcut to show/hide inspector:   
**CMD** + **B** on Mac   
**Ctrl** + **B** on Windows
