How to export floor plans to Serraview
Export your Archilogic floor plan as a Serraview-compatible DWG file and import it into Serraview (Eptura) in just a few clicks.
The Serraview Export extension for the Archilogic Editor converts your floor plan into the CAD layer structure that Serraview expects.
It shows a live preview of the export directly in the Editor and lets you configure how spaces and workstations are labelled and typed before you download the DWG file.
Opening the extension
To get started, open your floor plan in the Archilogic editor.
Click the main menu icon in the top-left corner, go to Extensions, and select Serraview Export from the list.

The Serraview Export panel opens on the left side of the screen, and the floor plan switches to a live CAD preview that shows exactly what will be exported. Any change you make in the panel is reflected in the preview immediately.

Configuration
At the top of the panel, you can choose a preset:
- SV-ARCH default – walls and furniture are exported together on one SV-ARCH layer
- Split A-WALL + A-FURN – walls and furniture are split into separate A-WALL and A-FURN layers
Identifier
The Identifier dropdown defines which attribute is used as the label source for what the SV-TXT-SPACENAME layer displays. You can choose between Global ID, Index, Name, Custom ID, Space usage, Space program, Space area.

By default, the extension uses the Custom ID of your spaces and desks. You can check these values by selecting a space or desk on the floor plan — the Custom ID is shown in the panel on the right.

Global ID refers to the Asset or Space ID of the selected object and is a unique and complex ID
- Index refers to automatically generated unique IDs such as Space-56 or Desk-75
- Name refers to the Space Name field in the Archilogic Editor. If the field is empty, the layer will show the same automatically generated unique ID from the Index option. The same is true for desks.
- Custom ID refers to the Custom ID field in the Archilogic Editor. If the field is empty, the layer will show the same automatically generated unique ID from the Index option.
- Space usage refers to the subcategory of a space such as "openWorkspace". Assets will show the same automatically generated unique ID from the Index option.
- Space program refers to the category of a space such as "work". Assets will show the same automatically generated unique ID from the Index option.
- Space area refers to the square meters or square feet of a room or space. Assets will show the same automatically generated unique ID from the Index option.
Type mapping
The Type mapping section controls what the SV-TXT-TYPE layer displays: it takes the category of each space or workstation from Archilogic (for example, openWorkspace) and maps it to the corresponding Serraview type.
With Prefer metadata mapping enabled, the keys are matched against the usage/subcategory values of your spaces and workstations. The mapping table shows each Archilogic usage key on the left and the Serraview type it will be exported as on the right — for example meetingRoom → Meeting Room, openWorkspace → Open Work Area, or pantry → Kitchenette. If you are happy with the default mapping, you can simply leave it as it is and collapse the section again.

You can change any assignment via the dropdown, which contains the full list of Serraview types (Desk: Standard, Desk: Bench, Focus, Hotdesk, Office, Open Work Area, and many more). Keys that are not yet assigned are listed under Unassigned keys — simply pick a value for them if they should be included.
Layers
The Layers section lists every CAD layer that will be written into the DWG file, along with the number of elements on each layer:
- SV-ARCH – the main architecture and furniture layer: walls and furniture
- SV-ZONE – the entire interior space as one zone; interior walls are disregarded while cutouts are excluded
- SV-SPACE – the interior space separated into its individual workstations, spaces, and rooms
- SV-TXT-SPACENAME – text labels that show the selected identifier of each space and desk
- SV-TXT-TYPE – text labels with the Serraview type of each space and desk (e.g. Desk: Standard, Open Work Area)
Use the checkbox in front of a layer to include or exclude it from the export. Ticking a single layer is also a handy way to inspect its contents in the preview — for example, ticking only SV-TXT-SPACENAME shows all the identifier labels that will be exported.

Adding custom layers
If you need an additional layer beyond the standard set, click Add layer at the bottom of the Layers section. For each custom layer, you can configure:
- Layer title – the name of the layer in the DWG file
- Layer mode – Outlines (geometry) or Names (text labels)
- Selection – which element categories are placed on the layer, e.g. all meeting room types, all work types, all socialize types (Meet, Work, Socialize, Care, Circulate, Support, Furniture, etc.)
- Identifier – use the global setting or override it for this layer, e.g. to display the Global ID of every exported asset and resource on a Names layer
- Use granular options – enable this for a more fine-grained selection based on the space taxonomy; switch it off if you prefer the simpler category list

Click Remove layer to delete a custom layer again if you don't need it anymore.
Exporting the DWG file
Once you are happy with the configuration and the preview, make sure all the layers you need are selected, then click Export DWG at the bottom of the panel and save the file to your computer.
If you want to start over, you can click the Reset layer configuration link to restore the default settings.
Importing into Serraview
In Serraview, open the Floorplan Imports tool. There are only two steps you have to do here: select the correct building (and floor), then choose the exported .dwg file under Select floorplan to import. Leave the remaining CAD settings on their defaults (or adjust them to your needs) and click RUN!.

Once the file has been uploaded, go to Serraview Spaces, select the right region, building, and floor — you will find the floor plan you exported from Archilogic there and can continue working with it: the spaces, desks, identifiers, and space types are all in place.
